Northernchem Inc., headquartered in Niagara Falls, Ontario,is a Canadian high-tech chemical and pharmaceutical company providing qualityproducts and research & development with competitive pricing. Ourworldwide manufacturer and supplier of chemicals and pharmaceuticalintermediates is in need of an Inventory Coordinator to beresponsible for managing and maintaining inventory. The successful candidateshould demonstrate proactive work ethic, high attention to detail and familiarwith the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
Receive, sort and store shipments of the chemicals from various countries
Process incoming requisitions and package products accordingly
Maintain computer records on inventory (orders placed, number type of chemicals available, stored location)
Prepare orders with corresponding MSDS and COA
Prepare workplace labels and supplier labels for incoming chemicals
Maintain adequate stock and identification system
Investigate and resolve work issues, problem orders, receiving discrepancies, picking/shipping discrepancies, inventory errors
Engineer storage layout to improve picking and stock efficiencies
Accountable for the chemical’s physical inventory. Perform periodic review, inventory adjustments and cycle counts
Assist receiving as required, pack and ship chemicals for destination
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/supplier environment
University/College degree preferred
Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of Access, Adobe InDesign an asset
Lab work experience – familiar with Analytical Balance and aseptic techniques
Strong knowledge of MSDS and COA
Strong attention to detail, analytical and thorough
