2. I promise to inform you if I cannot buy at your dealership because I have better price proposals from others.
Probably by tomorrow afternoon.
3. To be sensitive to the demands on your time and mine, I ask that your first proposal be your best proposal.
I will not conduct endless back-and-forth negotiations. Please give me a price for the car plus an itemized outthe-door price, including everything. (For detailed request about the vehicle, please see the end of the mail.)
4. I know that is not your favorite way to do business, but I am a serious potential customer who will buy a vehicle
on this Friday.
5. I realize that your version of the invoice will have a legitimate additional charge for VW's regional dealer
advertising association. I am aware of the holdback dollars the selling dealership will receive, but also realize you
don't typically pass those dollars along to customers.
6.I also know that, as in most sales-oriented businesses, there are ways auto dealerships are rewarded for
reaching sales and, sometimes, CSI targets. An attractive price proposal to me could help you reach yours.

Following is my new spec of the vehicle:
1. 2008 4-door Rabbit hatchback
2. Exterior: Reflex Silver / Shadow Blue / Candy White / United Gray
3. Automatic transmission
4. No requirements on interior color
5. 16" alloy wheel
6. iPod adapter is preferred, but not mandatory
7. Enable the feature to unlock the doors when ignition key is removed
8. Enable the feature to lift the window up/down from remote electronic key.
If no vehicle in your lot perfectly meets all the specs, I may consider the vehicle which is closest to my preference.

第一天小锦囊:有时在打电话时,dealer会像你询问一些信息,如你将如何支付,是一次性付清还是分期付
款,诸如此类的问题,这将会影响他们对你的报价,这时你必须自己把握住主导权,不能让dealer一步一步
地套你的话,你的回答可以是“我们现在还没有到谈论如何支付的这个阶段”“如果我在其他dealer处买了这辆
车,那我们现在谈论如何支付就白谈了”,你还可以说“这点你还不是很清楚,今天下午你将去附近的credit
union询问,但这个阶段我们先关注车本身的价格”,你甚至还可以说“现在让我们只关注车本身的价格,至
于如何支付,等到详细的车价出来之后,我确定在你这里买的时候,我会详详细细仔仔细细地跟你谈支付

第二天:
到第二天中午前,你会陆陆续续的收到dealer的报价邮件,大约会有你刚开始找的dealer数量的60%会报出
相当有吸引力的offer,当然也有一些offer不怎样,有些可能没有回信,但很少dealer会不回,尤其是工作日
的月底。而且,你要相信,如果那个接电话的人不是sales manager,他的报价也一定是经过sales manager点
头,否则他的报价也不会有吸引力的。
第二天12点正一过,你就可以开始第二天的任务,继续给dealer打电话。由于这次你有联系人的直线电话,
所以就方便了很多。打电话之前把dealer按照报价从高到低排一个队。从报价最高的那个deal开始打电话。
电话里,你需要谢谢他给你报价的email,并且很nice的告诉他,你不能在他那里买这辆车,因为有其他
dealer报价比他低。你可以借机会,把最低的报价数字告诉他,但要诚实不要吹牛。不要询问这家dealer是
否还能跌价,你只是把你不在他们那里买的信息告诉他们,看他们的反应,如果真还能跌价,他们会自
己说的,不用你问。有时候,有的dealer会说:“We will beat that price if you can prove it by showing us that
offer on paper”。对于如此怀疑我们人品的dealer我们可以说:“So you’re calling me a liar. Well, guess what,
I’m not. That’s the price I’m going to pay for the car. And I wouldn’t buy it from you, even if you beat that price.
Goodbye.”。如果,他们不质疑我们的信息,表示还愿意再让利跌价,那么你可以跟他们说:“I still have
several respondents I haven’t called. But I promise to call you back before making a final decision.”如果是这样情
况,那么这家deal在第一轮压价的游戏中还活着,他的报价就变成新的最低的报价了。然后你就开始给新的
报价最高的dealer,也就是原来报价次高的那个dealer打电话了。重复同样的谈话。如何dealer表示这已经是
他们所能承受的最低报价了,那么他们就出局了,你很nice的告诉他们,谢谢他们的参与,你不能在他们那
里买了,希望以后再做生意。就这样了,直到剩下最后一家dealer,这就是我们可以谈成的最低价格了。如
果你把这价格和我们自己计算的谈判目标价位比较的话,你会发现多家dealer竞标的价格结果会低很多。然
后,你要做的就是把最后的事情确定下来。
