A sometimes difficult decision is in choosing a place to play, a dilemma that has given rise to the widespread practice of ranking golf courses. Recognizing that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, differences of opinion are to be expected. The criteria for ranking golf courses are as varied as the courses themselves, with some ranking agencies using course difficulty, others rewarding aesthetics, customer service, membership and / or practice facilities. The fact of the matter is that there is simply no one correct or fair way to objectively compare or rank golf courses.
Hearing the rave reviews of other golfers, seeing championship courses profiled on TV or showcased in the print media usually piques golfer interest and spurs wanderlust – something akin to a treasure hunt, with everyone trying to find a hidden gem. Just as often, the hype announcing the opening of new golf courses is sufficient cause for many duffers to toss their clubs in the trunk and head for the “latest and greatest” layout.
Teeing It Up NIAGARA golf course rankings may not fairly apply after recent course improvements, re-design or current course conditions.
Current rankings are based on the opinions of Teeing It Up NIAGARA reps and, as such, are subject to discussion and disagreement. Niagara Top 25 Golf CoursesListed Alphabetically* Private CourseClick the name for detailsBattlefield – Legends
